Sean Duffy is the founder of EdTech Austin and President of EdTech Action, Austin’s first education specific incubator program at Capital Factory. Sean started his career as a high school English teacher and transitioned to STEM/broadcast journalism by helping create the first such program in the area (Englewood, CO). A self-proclaimed “Edtech Evangelist”, Sean spoke at the 2012 Republican National Convention on the need to focus on reforms in education that center on providing teachers and students the best tools and teaching practices available. Sean currently works as an assessment specialist and startup mentor by day and education community organizer by night.
