It’s official, Google Fiber hopes to ignite the City of Austin with their service in 2014! The buzz surrounding this announcement leaves one burning question at the forefront: how will gigabit internet transform our city? Come share your vision with other local leaders on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. at Capital Factory.
We’re happy to announce Ignite Austin 4 Presented by Google Fiber! Ignite provides an exciting opportunity to educate and spark conversations across multiple cultures and disciplines. The event achieves this through 16 fast-paced, bite-sized presentations. The format is simple: five minutes, 20 slides (which automatically advance after 15 seconds). Let’s explore how high-speed ubiquitous connectivity can make an immediate impact on our residents, neighborhoods, tech scene, music scene, universities, and more.
Speaker proposals for Ignite Austin 4 are officially open. Ignite focuses on sharing your burning ideas – the things that keep you up late at night. We’re looking for engaging presentations, but are not interested in product demos.
The submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. We will announce the final selections for speakers by 12 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014. Think you’ve got what it takes? We want to hear from you! Please submit your idea here.
